Dorothy Dementia is a tiny old lady who has no idea how old she is. Ask her once, you'll get fifteen. Ask her tomorrow, you'll still get fifteen — it's the only number she remembers.
The grandchildren
She has no real grandchildren. She didn't let that stop her. Walk into the pub, share a sentence with her, and you've been adopted. She'll be feeding you within the hour, asking after the family she's invented for you, remembering the wrong name and not minding. Half the regulars on Obey have been called "her grandchild" at some point, and a fair few of them have started believing it.
The pub, the café
These days she runs the pub, pulling pints with hands that have done it for decades. Before that she ran the UwU Café — the kind of place that became a fixture of the city before quietly closing its doors. Ask her about it and she might tell you everything in vivid, accurate detail; or she might just smile and tell you about the cat she had when she was fifteen.
The slipper
Don't stress her out. The mind that forgets your name remembers exactly where her slipper is, and she will use it. The slipper has its own kind of local legend — there are players who'll quietly admit, voice low, that they've taken one to the back of the head and didn't dare argue.
The lucid moments
Dorothy forgets a lot. But every so often — mid-conversation, mid-pour, mid nothing-in-particular — she'll go very still and say something so precise, so clearly remembered, that the room around her notices. A name from decades ago. A piece of advice that lands. A small detail nobody else caught. Then it passes, and she's wandering again, asking who you are and whether you've eaten.
Why she matters
She doesn't fight, doesn't hold turf, doesn't run a job. She makes sure nobody feels left out, even when she forgets who they are five minutes later. On a server that ranks crime, combat, and currency, Dorothy is proof that a long-standing character can be loved for being kind. That's quietly the best argument for serious roleplay there is.
