Revenge Killing
30-minute cooldown before re-engaging the player(s) who killed or ended your scene. Natural encounters fine. Hunting is not.
- The 30-minute rule: After a scene ends — you were killed, knocked out, robbed, kidnapped, or the situation otherwise closed — you cannot actively go after the player(s) responsible for at least 30 minutes. Timer starts when the scene ends, not when you respawn or leave hospital.
- What counts as "going after": chasing them down, ambushing them where you know they'll be, calling friends or your gang on them, or coordinating with anyone to put yourself back in their proximity to retaliate.
- Natural encounters are fine: if you cross paths in public during the cooldown, you don't have to flee. The encounter just has to be incidental — not engineered. Staff have seen the "I just happened to be there with three of my mates" explanation enough times; if it looks orchestrated, it gets treated as orchestrated.
- If they re-engage you, all bets are off. The cooldown protects you from being hunted; it does not require you to take a second beating from the same player.
- Linked to NLR (4.x): if you died in the scene, the New Life Rule applies on top of this — you do not remember the events that led to your death.
