How to join Obey RP

Welcome to Obey RP. Here's the full path from zero to standing in Mission Row PD.

1. Join the Discord

Click Join the Discord on the homepage. You'll need to:

• Verify your account in #welcome.
• Read #announcements for current server status.
• Open the rulebook at /rules and skim the headline categories.

2. Sign in to the portal

Visit obeyrp.uk (or obey-portal-m8rf.vercel.app for now) and click Sign in — top-right. Authorise the Obey RP Portal Discord app with identify + guilds.members.read. You'll land on /dashboard with your Discord nickname and avatar.

3. Apply for whitelist

Open /whitelist and pick a role:

• Met Police — frontline policing
• NHS — paramedics, ED nurses, doctors
• DOJ — courts, prosecution, defence
• Fire — LFB, RTC rescue, HAZMAT
• Civilian — apply via Discord ticket (no whitelist required)

The 4-step wizard takes 20–30 minutes. Drafts auto-save in your browser, so you can come back to finish. Submitting posts a Discord embed to the staff channel; you'll get a DM with the outcome within a week.

4. Connect to the server

Once your whitelist is approved:

1. Make sure you have FiveM installed: fivem.net.
2. Click Connect to Server on the homepage, or paste this into FiveM's address bar:

   fivem://connect/play.obeyrp.uk
   

3. The server will check your Discord ID against the whitelist and let you in. First-time character creation runs after the connection.

What to do in your first hour

• Open the in-game phone (default M) and add the Obey staff number for in-game support.
• Walk to your spawn point, take the bus, see London. Don't sprint into a scene — observe how others RP first.
• Roleplay your character's first impressions out loud. Use /me for actions and the proximity voice for speech.
