# 📢 An Important Announcement — ObeyRP Temporary Suspension @everyone **TL;DR:** ObeyRP has been suspended by CFX for 14 days due to a compliance issue on our sister server, Project Aftermath — not ObeyRP itself. We are appealing the decision, Project Aftermath has been permanently shut down, and every single day of this downtime will be spent making Obey better than ever. All sales and season passes will be extended — nobody loses out. We will confirm our exact return date with you as soon as we possibly can. ## What Happened Earlier today, we woke up to emails from CFX informing us that ObeyRP has been suspended for 14 days over a Terms of Service compliance issue. To say we are heartbroken would be an understatement. Since the day we opened our doors on the 31st of May, this team has poured everything into building something we are truly proud of — and reading those emails hurt more than words can express. ## The Honest Truth You deserve complete transparency, so here it is: - We are absolutely confident that **ObeyRP itself is fully TOS compliant**. We have made every effort, at every stage, to ensure it. - We believe the issue originates from our sister server, **Project Aftermath**, and the Rust-style assets used there. Because both servers sit under the same ownership, the suspension has been applied to Obey as well. - **We hold our hands up.** Project Aftermath operated under our name, and the responsibility for that mistake is ours and ours alone. We won't hide from that, and we sincerely apologise to every one of you affected by it. ## Immediate Action We've Taken 1. ⚖️ We are **formally challenging the decision** with CFX/Rockstar — to clear ObeyRP's name and to push for a reduction of the 14-day period. 2. 🔒 We have made the difficult decision to **permanently shut down Project Aftermath**, so that nothing can ever put Obey at risk again. 3. 🔍 We are carrying out a **full top-to-bottom audit of every asset and script on ObeyRP**, so we return beyond reproach. ## How We'll Use These 14 Days This downtime will not be wasted. The owners, founders and dev team will be working every day on: **⚙️ Stability & Compliance** - Full asset & compliance audit of the entire server - Updating every script that requires it - A performance & optimisation pass for a smoother experience on return **🎮 Gameplay & Economy** - A full review and rebalance of the economy - A rebuilt, improved new player experience - Clearing the bug and suggestion backlog - New content being prepared for relaunch — we'll have some surprises for you 👀 **❤️ Community & Growth** - Our **marketing push continues at full force** — this downtime changes nothing about our plans to grow Obey, and we'll be working harder than ever to bring new faces to the city - Market research to make sure Obey stays the best it can be - A community survey — your feedback will directly shape our roadmap - Staff training and improved internal processes - Discord events to keep the family together while we're down - A relaunch celebration and player appreciation package on our return

@everyone We want to sincerely apologize for the sudden downtime. Both ObeyRP and Project Aftermath have received a 14-day suspension due to a TOS violation caused by a script used on Project Aftermath. Because both servers share a CFX account, ObeyRP was impacted as well. **Moving Forward:** - Project Aftermath is permanently closing. - ObeyRP will be our sole focus moving forward. We are devastated by the sudden interruption to your roleplay. We will be using this 14-day downtime to review, restructure, and improve ObeyRP so we can come back stronger than ever. Thank you for your patience and support. On a personal note, writing announcements isn't my strong suit, but with the other founders currently away on work trips, I wanted to get this information out to you as quickly as possible. Once they return, they will follow up with a more detailed breakdown of our plans for ObeyRP.
